Bellydance Fundamentals REFRESHER | Tues 7pm, Bankstown

Bankstown (Condell Park) studio

For students who have already taken Bellydance Classes and need a refresher

Bellydance Fundamentals Technique is our signature course. You would be joining for the final 4 weeks of the course, to tune up and refresh your skills. This is NOT SUITABLE for absolute beginners; we’ve provided this opportunity to join mid-term because so many of the courses were sold out at the beginning of the year!

The full course covers lots of moves from hip drops to shimmies to circles, plus how to combine them and set them to music, along with posture, foot and arm positions, and an intro to Arabic music and cultural aspects of the dance. Improve your fitness, co-ordination, elegance, core strength and more, alongside other women who often become good friends by dancing together. Depending on your experience level, your teacher will challenge you to go deeper, to refine your movements and develop finer control and elegance.

Catch-up options: Recordings are available if you miss your class.

Level: You must have taken at least 1 course of bellydance before.

Bellydance is fun, but it’s not as easy as it looks: it takes some time for movements to sink into the body. We recommend sticking to Fundamentals classes for at least your first full year - and revisiting it periodically, especially after a long break.

A large, private space with a polished wooden floor, partial mirrors, and plenty of free parking.

Our students tend to come from surrounding suburbs including Moorebank, Wattle Grove, Milperra, Lurnea, Casula, Prestons, Cabramatta, Warwick Farm, Canley Vale and beyond.

“Thank you for an amazing term of belly dancing! I have been wanting to try this for such a long time and was a little shy and nervous thinking about it. Now that I took the step I am so glad I did. What a beautiful thing to learn especially during these times in lockdown! I looked forward to my Wednesday evening classes every week!
