Level Up like a Legend
Every famous bellydance star has had their own unique style, yet they are united by a strong foundation in the core movements of Raqs Sharqi. Discover several legends of bellydance, unpack their signature steps, improve your technique by challenging yourself to move like them, and build your own style in the process!
We’ll also continue practising your Term 1 routine to be ready for our Winter Hafla.
LEVEL: For dancers who have completed at least 4 terms (1 year) of Fundamentals. There’s no upper limit: students who’ve been dancing for years might appreciate this chance to get more familiar with the dancers who’ve formed and inspired our art.
(If you’re brand new to bellydance, this class is not suitable. Please choose one of the Fundamentals classes instead - such as at the same location at 7pm.)
Catch-up options: Repeated other days/locations; one or other of those classes will also be on Zoom and recorded.
Pricing: 10 classes $180 in person. A discounted Zoom option is available.
Beyond Beginners (BBs) classes are suitable for dancers with at least a year’s class experience, who are confident with all the Fundamentals moves and are gaining familiarity with more complex moves, concepts and cultural styles in Oriental Dance. If you’ve had a bit of a break from dancing, consider joining the Fundamentals class (as well or instead). Contact us for personalised advice.

A large, airy studio with sprung wooden floor and NO mirrors. Limited free parking on site, plenty in nearby Council carparks, or take an express bus from the city to Darling St.
Our students tend to come from surrounding suburbs including Balmain and Birchgrove, Glebe and Annandale, Leichhardt and Lilyfield, Drummoyne and Five Dock, Camperdown and Stanmore areas.. Our online students come from all over Sydney, NSW and even interstate / overseas.
