Discover the joy, power and fun of Iraqi Dance! In this workshop we'll connect with the origins of the iconic Iraqi dance, diving into the music, rhythms and dance of the Kawleeya people. Practise the most important steps, learn technique for dancing this dynamic style safely, and build it into effective combos on irresistible music.

Our instructor, Andrea, brings years of deep, hands-on experience in Iraqi dance, having studied directly with world-renowned master teachers through many hours of private lessons. She’s also a familiar and beloved performer in Sydney’s Iraqi community, known for her authentic style and extensive knowledge. As a teacher, Andrea is encouraging and experienced. Students love her ability to inspire them and bring the moves to life!
